Toad Hall are passionate about raising the standards of childcare. We provide opportunities so that each child develops at their own pace in a fun and loving environment, yes thats right, we offer lots of cuddles! Every child is an individual with their own routine and needs and we work closely with our parents to ensure these are met so that every child feels secure and at home.
We aim to offer the highest quality of childcare with a stimulating educational programme.
We deliver a play-based curriculum where the children develop creativity, self-confidence and curiosty that is both adult and child led. Activities are made to be fun where the children can explore, experiment and make friends in an empowering environment.
We look at every experience as an opportunity for learning and we surround our children with interesting and stimulating materials. We focus on Learning through Purposeful Play as children learn most effectively when they are having fun. We guide, prompt, use open-ended questions and encourage the children throughout the day.
Each child has a designated Key Person who will identify each stage of their development and support them through every new experience and adventure.

"The environment of the setting is homely and calm, with lots of resources and opportunities for children to access and explore. The independence and confidence of the children is evident, they are engaged in learning that motivates the individual and this is nurtured with skilful practitioners enhancing moments of learning. The relational environment speaks volumes in the setting, as they are so enthusiastic and passionate in their roles, whether that is the manager, deputy, founder or apprentice. All the staff team values the ethos of the nursery, and this is communicated to everyone that attends through their exemplary practice. The children are confident and happy."
External audit is important to our nursery as we have to constantly check our systems, methods and standards, and in return it is confirmation that our nursery is of a high standard that we expect it to be as professionals. Good Beginnings Autism Friendly Setting - Level 1 Bronze Award
Many practitioners in mainstream preschool settings are working with young children who have either been diagnosed as having autism or who have similar needs as yet undiagnosed. Even if there are no such children in the setting, there is an ‘anticipatory duty’ which requires all practitioners to have at least a basic understanding of conditions such as autism and how to meet the needs of young children with autism through high-quality, inclusive early years practice.
At Toad Hall we are delighted to have taken this a step further and have achieved our Bronze Award.
Come and join our award winning nursery!!!
